I don’t make banana bread very often so it’s always such an amazing treat when I do, which was the case on Sunday! I had three bananas that were starting to turn and needed used so what better than to make some yummy banana bread!
I’ve used this recipe for several years now and I’m not sure where I originally got it but it’s certainly my favorite!
Now, I prefer to use wheat flour for this recipe but you can most certainly use regular, all-purpose flour as well. I also added some chopped up chocolate chips this time to help satisfy my chocolate cravings lol.
2-3 Ripe Bananas
1/3 Cup (5 TBSP) Butter, melted
3/4 Cup Sugar
1 Egg, Beaten
1 TSP Vanilla
1 TSP Baking Soda
Pinch of Salt
1-1/2 Cup Flour
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees and prepare your 4 x 8-inch bread pan. Then you’ll want to peel and mash the bananas with a fork until smooth – or mostly smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
Next you’ll mix in the baking soda and salt. Then stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Lastly, mix in the flour. Once everything is combined you’ll pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 50 – 60 minutes (or until tester comes out clean).
