Cookie Pizza is one of the first things I started bringing to family picnics. Our family picnics have always been potluck style – everyone brings a dish. When my Grammy decided I was old enough in high school to start bringing a side dish of my own she taught me how to make a Cookie Pizza.
I decided this year for Memorial Day I was going to make Cookie Pizza. I wanted to make sure to bring a part of Grammy with us since she can’t be here with us. It’s also a plus that it’s super effortless and quick to make. With only four ingredients and 15 minutes to make I promise everyone will absolutely love it.
- Toll House Cookie Dough (the tube)
- Pizza Pan
- Candy Bar (I used snickers and Reese’s)
- Chocolate Chips
- Peanut Butter
You’ll need to preheat the oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit. While the oven preheats you have to spray the pizza pan with nonstick spray and open the cookie dough tube. You’re going to put it on the pan and spread it out.
I have a 12″ pizza pan and I should have bought a bigger one because once it bakes it will come over the edges while baking. So just be aware of that. This could also be done in a traditional cookie sheet but I’ve personally never done it.
Once you have the cookie dough spread out and the oven is preheated you’ll want to bake it for 12-15 minutes – depending on how you want it. I prefer my dough to be under baked so I left it in for about 12 minutes. Just enough for the edges to brown.
After you’ve pulled it out of the oven you want to place a few table spoons of peanut butter and chocolate chips on it while it’s still hot. This way the peanut butter and chocolate chips can melt and be easily mixed together.
Now that the peanut butter and chips have melted you’ll want to spread them around on top so that the peanut butter and chips can melt and be combined.
The last stop is to chop up the candies bar you’ve selected and sprinkle them on top.
Just let the cookie pizza cool and it’s ready to serve! I hope you enjoy it just as much as my family has! Let me know your thoughts or the little touches you’ve added that you’ve loved.
